archlinux is very fast and responsive, indeed. but on my system i dont know why it takes more than few seconds when starting up udev stuffs.

I don't have OpenSuse (and thus can't sensibly change the rating myself) but the latest release (10.3) is supposed to have improved boot speed by leaps and bounds.

This is a very biased description. Before it is moved to the comparator page on polishlinux.org it needs a lot of polish.

Best distro I have ever seen. And it is not complicated at all.
I switched from Windows to Linux a year ago. Ubuntu was my first distro, but it is so bloated and slow…
ArchLinux is flying even on my old PC!
You don't need to be a genius, to install this distro.
Just try it and you will love Arch forever!

Graphical system management: Now Slackware distro not contains GNOME but come with some gtk+ apps like GIMP, Mozilla Firefox and etc.

OK, eventually updated! Sorry that it took so long. New updated will be more automatic since I fixed the migration script.
Also, a new site for Freespire on PolishLinux.org is available, accessible from distro overview page: http://polishlinux.org/linux/ — the Freespire site is http://polishlinux.org/linux/freespire/ and it also requires some retouch (see descriptions of other distros from the overview page).

With Fedora 7, the distro has dropped the Core part of the name. This is due to a major change in the distribution method, where there used to be two main repositories (core and extras) there is now only one. Extras was a user maintained repository which was merged into core, meaning that all the official packages are now in the same repository.

I'm sorry for that. I added a Jira task: http://jira.jakilinux.org:8080/browse/PL-30 — hopefully I will do that. It takes so long because I found some error in the migration script that works wrong for Freespire. I'm currently trying to fix it.

Claus: Thanks for the tip. Indeed clear criteria would be a good thing to introduce.
Right now, it's however recommended to compare with other distros' marks and give a score that is reasonable.
All the scores are moderated by the PolishLinux crew anyway, so there should not be a lot of subjective marks. And if there are any, everyone is free to point them out so that we fix the inaccuracies.
